ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
La Alcazaba - C/ Alcazabilla s/n
The Archaeological Museum is located in the castle / fortress La Alcazaba. It contains important archaeological findings from the Phoenician era to the Moorish epoch. Many of the findings were found under the restoration of La Alcazaba and include Roman sculptures and mosaics, Arab ceramics and other pre-historical artefacts.

BASILICA VEGA DEL MAR
Linda Vista, San Pedro de Alcántara (near el Pueblo del Ingenio in the eucalyptus grove)
Talk about an unusual outing! Visit a Paleochristian basilica dating back to the IV century. Roman baths in Guadalmina (Archaeological remains thought to have been public baths or an aqueduct, dating back to Century III A.D.) and a Roman villa located in Rio Verde. Open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 12:00. Call for appointment or go to the tourist office in San Pedro to make a reservation for a free guided tour (24 hours notice required.) You will have to pick up your guide at the San Pedro arch.

BONSAI MUSEUM
Parque Arroyo de la Represa, Marbella
In 1992 Miguel Ángel Garcia Gil made public his private collection of over 300 bonsais. This is one of Europe's finest collections and is surprisingly found near the old town Marbella.

MUSEUM OF MINIATURES CARROMATO DE MAX

The Museum is Mr. Max's covered wagon filled with microscopic art. You just can't imagine how small these things are! Famous items include the Lord's Prayer written along the edge of a telephone calling card and a "portrait" of Abraham Lincoln on the head of a pin.
